On this occasion, we want to thank the wonderful children and staff of the PU Amigosi preschool, who organized a charity bazaar to raise money and help the families in our organization.
PU Amigosi has supported us for many years in helping those who truly need it. We are grateful that they teach children real values from an early age and help them develop empathy for those whom life has not treated kindly.
The first of three campaigns is for the Živanović family. Thanks to all of you, we provided the Živanović family with food and hygiene supplies worth 6,619.24 RSD.

This is the Živanović family’s story
We met the Živanović family in 2019. At that time, mother Bojana was raising her three children on her own – Slađan (born 2012), Slađana (2013) and Andrej (2016). Since then she has started a common-law partnership, and they have had a daughter, Jovana (2021).
Bojana does not work, because there is no one to look after the children. Sometimes she goes with her partner to do day labour, but then she has to take the children with her. In the meantime Bojana has fallen ill and has heart problems.
The family receives neither child allowance nor social assistance, and the father of Slađan, Slađana and Andrej does not pay child support. Their income is uncertain and depends on work – on average about 30,000 dinars a month, which is not enough for a family of six. The children go to school, and the oldest son walks 13 km every day. They live in an old, run-down house without a bathroom.
What the family needs most is basic groceries and hygiene supplies.
