This is the Ivković family’s story
We met the Ivković family from Smederevska Palanka on September 4, 2025.
The Ivković family is a single mother, Slavica (1975), and her two children, Mijat (2011) and Mija (2017).
Sadly, a few years ago the family lost its greatest support. Miroslav, husband and father, was killed.
That is when their hardest struggle began – the struggle to survive.
More than a year ago, Slavica suffered two strokes in a row. She is completely immobile. On top of everything that has happened to her, she is now fighting breast cancer that has metastasized.
Slavica is in a very difficult condition. She is bravely fighting to stay with her children.
The family currently has no income at all. They live in a rented apartment.
