This is the Ivković family’s story

We met the Ivković family from Smederevska Palanka on September 4, 2025.
The Ivković family is made up of single mother Slavica (born 1975) and her two children: Mijat (born 2011) and Mija (born 2017).
Sadly, five years ago the family lost its greatest pillar of support. Miroslav, husband and father, lost his life.
That was when their hardest battle began – the battle to survive.
Five months ago, their mother Slavica suffered two strokes in a row. She is completely immobile. On top of everything that has happened to her, she is now fighting breast cancer, which has metastasized.
The family currently has no income at all. Slavica worked as a server at a preschool. Because of the ongoing disability pension procedure, her benefit payments are late.
They live in a rented apartment.
