This is the Ivković family’s story
We met the Ivković family from Smederevska Palanka on September 4, 2025.
The Ivković family is made up of single mother Slavica (born 1975) and her two children: Mijat (born 2011) and Mija (born 2017).
Sadly, a few years ago the family lost its greatest source of support. Miroslav, husband and father, was killed.
That is when their hardest battle began – the battle to survive.
More than a year ago, mother Slavica suffered two strokes, one right after the other. She is completely immobile. On top of everything that has happened to her, she is now fighting breast cancer that has spread.
Mother Slavica is in very serious condition. She is bravely fighting to stay with her children.
The family currently has no income at all. They live in a rented apartment.
The Ivković family needs our help now more than ever!
