Andrej’s mom, Dzenifera, beat cancer two years ago, and now, sadly, there is a chance the illness has come back.
Once again they need our help and support in their ongoing struggle to make ends meet.

This is the story of the Dimovski family.
On February 15, 2019, we met the Dimovski family, a family of two from Belgrade.
At first glance, Andrej looks like a perfectly healthy, happy child, but his poor health and the family’s difficult financial situation don’t allow him to live that way.
Andrej has asthma and a very weak immune system. He is allergic to all kinds of pollen, which often leaves him struggling to breathe, so he needs inhalation treatments up to three times a day. He uses an inhaler constantly. Rhinitis and hay fever make his already fragile condition even worse.
Dzenifera is a single mother. She is unemployed because she cannot hold a full-time job due to her son’s poor health.
Andrej and his mom rarely get to go outside freely and enjoy a nice sunny day, because that triggers his symptoms. Every trip outside is a big risk, and we all know what spending time outdoors and playing with friends means to a child.
Because of severe migraines, high blood pressure and heavy nosebleeds, Andrej also has to be treated by a neurologist.
Despite all his health problems, the boy fights like a lion against every obstacle life keeps putting in his way.
Dzenifera’s wish is for her child to be healthy and happy, and to have a normal, decent life.
