We are asking everyone who is able to support our campaign and help us make everyday life easier for Stepan and his family. Stepan has type 1 diabetes, and his family is fighting hard to get by.

This is Stepan’s story

Stepan suddenly started losing weight and drinking a lot of water. One day he got a fever and collapsed. Doctors found that his blood sugar was very high and he was rushed to hospital in Niš, where the family was told he had nearly fallen into a coma.

Since then his life has changed. Stepan has to monitor his blood sugar constantly and watch what he eats. It is very hard for parents to deny their child food he loves – and for Stepan, unfortunately, every day is like that.

Stepan is a wonderful boy and an excellent student who tries very hard to accept his situation. It would be too much even for an adult, let alone a child.

What Stepan needs

  • Libre sensors – a device that continuously shows his blood sugar, so he can go to school and be active more safely,
  • food suited to the diet of a child with diabetes.

We buy exactly what the family needs and deliver it in person, and after the campaign we publish the story and photos.

How you can help: donate through PayPal or by bank transfer – from abroad to our EUR or USD account (IBAN), from Serbia to the dinar account 160-535218-63 with the reference „Donacija – Stepan“. All details are on our Donate page.

Let’s keep helping sick, vulnerable and poor children in Serbia!
